Hamilton Skills Training

Want to have more fun on your motorcycle and ride with increased confidence?

A FREE, fully funded motorcycle skills course, provided by Hamilton City Council, Waipā District Council and Waikato District Council, and delivered by Roadsafe Rider.

For licensed riders with their own motorcycle and riding gear, this is a practical, relaxed opportunity to build skills, improve confidence and get to know your bike better - whatever your riding experience or ability.

You’ll work on low-speed control, braking, cornering, counter-steering, road positioning, hazard awareness and risk management, with practical exercises designed to make learning enjoyable.

We’ll mix practical riding with engaging sessions using videos, discussion and real-life riding experiences, exploring the “why” behind good riding, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share your own learned experiences.

Suitable for riders of any level, from learner and restricted riders through to experienced riders wanting to refresh or sharpen their skills. Not a Learn to Ride or licensing course.
