Hamilton Skills Training

Designed for all riders, regardless of experience. Increase your skills, confidence and enjoyment of road riding with a mix of interactive theory and practical riding, in a relaxed low-pressure environment, at a closed road venue. This course is designed for learner and restricted licence holders, intermediate level riders, returning riders and full licensed experienced riders with a motorcycle license, who are currently riding on the road.

Description

The better you understand your motorcycle and how it responds, the more confidently you can ride it.

When controlling your bike becomes more natural, you have more brain space to look ahead, spot hazards, watch what other road users are doing and make good decisions. Good riding skills can help you manage risk, avoid crashes and get more enjoyment from your motorcycle.

The day is relaxed and practical, with nothing compulsory and no pressure to perform. There’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share your own learned experiences and explore the things you’d like to understand or improve.

What might we cover?

The content can be flexible depending on what you as a rider want to learn. Topics may include:

  • Emergency braking and stopping
  • Cornering and looking through the turn
  • Low-speed manoeuvring, balance and control
