Basic Handling Skills

For competent riders, our Basic Handling Skills course helps you learn the 4 parts of the BHS Test and the Test Criteria, provides you with practise and feedback, and includes the BHS licence Test. Motorcycle hire is available, or provide your own LAMS machine.

Description

Riders must already be able to competently ride a motorcycle using the clutch and changing gears, or provide a scooter if riding an automatic machine. If you have not had this level of riding experience, please book our Learn to Ride course first. Learn to Ride and Basic Handling Skills courses can be done on the same day for confident riders, or booked on separate days.

You can provide your own LAMS approved machine which must be at WoF standard, safe and reliable to use.

Roadsafe can provide motorcycle hire (additional cost), with free use of helmet, gloves and wet weather gear if required.

Basic Handling Skills 'Test Only' option is available for competent and experienced riders who have already practised the test. Please contact us to check available times.
