Learn to Ride

Learn to Ride teaches beginners to ride a motorcycle or scooter. You must be able to ride a bicycle/pushbike and drive a car on road. 1 - 2 courses may be required. Basic Handling Skills can be completed on the same day for more confident riders, or booked on a separate day. LTR is a refresher course for people who have not ridden for some time, have had little riding experience, and want more riding practise in preparation for Basic Handling Skills, or for scooter riders wanting to learn clutch and gears.

Our Learn to Ride course is good preparation for progressing to our Basic Handling Skills course and test.

Learn to Ride includes free use of motorcycle (with clutch and gears), helmet, gloves and wet weather gear if required. An automatic scooter can be provided on request in advance.

Also good for scooter riders wanting to learn how to use the clutch and gears to progress to a motorcycle.

Essential - You must have ridden a bicycle/pushbike recently ie. have good balance skills. You must have driven a car previously on the road.
